(June 1, 2015 – Taipei) Chuango Security Technology Corporation, an innovative developer of wireless DIY home security systems, is pleased to announce the winning of Computex d&i awards 2015 by its own smart home technology brand smanos. “We are humbled, honored and excited that our own brand and the epitome of its innovative spirit – the K1 SmartHome DIY Kit – have been recognized by yet another international award, after winning the Red Dot in March,” said Ken Li, founder and CEO of Chuango.
Computex d&i awards have been jointly organized by TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) and iF Design for the last eight years. A jury consisting of six renowned experts convened in Taipei in April to examine and assess 271 entries, eventually selecting 72 award winners. When selecting, the experts paid particular attention to criteria such as degree of innovation, quality of design, craftsmanship, selection of materials, environmental friendliness, functionality, utility value, safety, ergonomics, universal design, brand value and branding.
The awards will be presented at the Computex Taipei 2015 trade fair, and the complete Chuango and smanos smart home portfolio – which speaks minimalistic elegance, self-installation and self-monitoring – will be available at G0502 in Hall 3 of the Taipei World Trade Center throughout June 2~6. The awards ceremony, taking place on the first day, will be one of the highlights of the world’s second largest ICT trade fair where all award-winning products will be on show; and the winners will also be presented at other ICT events around the world:
- IFA 2015 in Berlin, Germany (Sept 4~9)
- GITEX Technology Week 2015 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Oct 18~22)
- 2016 INTERNATIONAL CES in Las Vegas, USA (Jan 6~9, 2016)
- MWC 2016 in Barcelona, Spain (Feb 27~Mar 1, 2016)
- CeBIT 2016 in Hannover, Germany (Mar 1~5, 2016)
After the awards ceremony, the award-winning products will be officially introduced on the iF online exhibition (www.ifdesign.de) and in the Computex d&i awards yearbook.
